Covid-19 Protocols and Consent
To our patients and their families:
We are following the CDC and our local guidelines. Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice. Our policies and processes are in place so that when you receive care, it’s both safe and comfortable. Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued. We do this to make sure that our infection control procedures are current and adhere to each agencies’ recommendations.
Myself, my associates and my staff are all fully vaccinated for Covid-19. We have invested in additional medical grade air purification units to continuously filter the air in the office. Aerosol generating procedures are contained to a private room, as recommended by the CDPH. When these procedures are necessary, they will be performed in the designated chair in our private room with the use of high volume evacuation and an external dental suction system. Special personal protective equipment and measures will be required for all doctors and staff. These steps in particular are very important to significantly minimize the risks to all staff and patients in our office.
You may request a virtual appointment if you feel more comfortable being “seen” remotely for the time being. We will request that you send us some pictures in advance and we can schedule a virtual video meeting. Please let us know if you are interested in this option and we can send you more information.
Please do not hesitate to contact our office to discuss any questions or concerns whatsoever. We take your health and safety very seriously, thank you for your patience and understanding.
